Hi, I’m Pace Roghaar
Design Manager | Brand & Art Direction
Backcountry
Hired as Graphic Design Manager for Competitive Cyclist, I soon took on leadership of all design teams across Backcountry, Competitive Cyclist, Steep & Cheap, and Level Nine Sports. Since then, I’ve elevated brand design, refined visual language, and led a talented team in concepting, art directing, and executing successful multi-brand campaigns.

Nukeproof
At Nukeproof, I helped establish the UK-based brand in North America—building from a blank slate into a distinct and independent presence. I led creative across digital, print, email, and full campaign development. Though my time was brief, it was packed with growth, challenge, and impact. Sadly, Nukeproof and its sister brand Vitus were shuttered in late 2023 following major investor withdrawal.

Blackstone
I joined Blackstone in 2017 and helped grow it into the leading outdoor cooking brand by 2020. As the team scaled, I wore many hats—contributing to brand design, packaging, e-comm, and campaign work. The experience sharpened my design skills and gave me a front-row seat to building a brand from the ground up.

Wizard Groove
Designing Wizard Groove was a pure downtime experiment pushing lines, angles, and balance into a new territory for me. Resulting in a playful yet practical font: distinctive enough to stand out, consistent enough to use in real projects. It taught me how structure and spontaneity can work hand in hand. Ideal for any wizards tome book.

Stratos Font
This typeface began with a badge from the Lancia Stratos HF—a coworker sent me a photo, and I was instantly drawn to its unique letterforms. Using the limited characters as a foundation, I designed the rest of the set, evolving the originals into a more cohesive, modern system while still honoring the spirit of the badge.
